I am a consultant old age psychiatrist with Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. My interests are the management of late-life depression and psychological treatments with older people.

I am currently a co-investigator and PI with the CONTACT-GAD study of acceptance and commitment therapy for treatment-resistant depression in older people and the ANTLER75+ study of antidepressant continuation in late-life depression. I was co-investigator with the PATHFINDER study of adapted problem-solving therapy for depression in dementia

I was a member of the 2022 NICE Depression in adults (update) guideline development group.

I teach medical students at the University of Oxford and am a College Adviser and Associate Fellow of Green Templeton College. I am also a trained teacher of English to speakers of other languages with an interest in teaching medical English to refugee doctors.
