Nicola Filippini

DPhil (Oxon)

Nico worked as a DPhil student and post-doctoral research associate with Prof Clare Mackay and Prof Klaus Ebmeier at the Department of Psychiatry (University of Oxford). His main interests were Alzheimer’s disease and genetic risk factors (mainly APOE) that he explored using a wide range of neuroimaging techniques, in particular, functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), diffusion tensor imaging (DTI), structural MRI (sMRI) and arterial spin labelling (ASL).

Over the last two years, he worked as grants associate (research facilitator) at the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences (NDCN - University of Oxford). He managed the grants portfolio and worked closely with academic, clinical, research and administrative colleagues in the Department, colleagues in other Departments within the University of Oxford, but also National and International Universities, central services, National and International body funders and many external agencies.
