Post-Doctoral Research Assistant

My research focuses on plasticity in the ageing brain, studying the effects of exercise and physical activity levels on brain structure and function. I am currently assessing the effects of a 12-week aerobic exercise intervention in the older population, combining multimodal MRI imaging with cognitive and physical assessment. I aim to analyse the potential benefits of exercise on memory and cognition in the elderly, and to further understand the underlying physiological mechanisms.
