The objectives are as follows: To assess the effects of antidepressants or benzodiazepines for panic disorder in adults, specifically: To determine the efficacy of antidepressants and benzodiazepines in alleviating symptoms of panic disorder, with or without agoraphobia, in comparison to other antidepressants and other benzodiazepines; To review the acceptability of antidepressants and benzodiazepines in panic disorder, with or without agoraphobia, in comparison to other antidepressants and other benzodiazepines; and To investigate the adverse effects of antidepressants and benzodiazepines in panic disorder, with or without agoraphobia, including the general prevalence of adverse effects, compared to other antidepressants and other benzodiazepines.
