Our Vision is to make Oxford the premier UK centre for translational neuroscience research. To deliver this we have worked with our partners to create a number of new innovation centres that build on Oxford’s world-leading medical research.
The Target Discovery Institute
Investigates drug target discovery across various diseases capitalizing on the University's existing strengths in genetics and genomic medicine, molecular and cell biology, structural biology, chemistry, pharmacology and medicine.
The Big Data Institute
An interdisciplinary research institute that focuses on the analysis of large, complex, heterogeneous data sets to develop, evaluate and deploy efficient methods for acquiring and analysing information for large clinical research studies.
The Oxford BioEscalator
A new innovation centre for high-potential, early-stage medical science companies co-located alongside Oxford University’s world-class medical research at the Old Road Campus. It is one of four centres in Oxfordshire supported by the government’s City Deal.
