The Oxford Preservation Trust’s Oxford Open Doors event, now in its seventh year, is an annual weekend for local people to discover more about their world famous city. This year the Oxford Neuroscience once again took the opportunity to engage with the public.
On Friday 12th September NDCN opened the doors of FMRIB to over 40 visitors who enjoyed a demonstration of functional imaging and watched a short animated film 'A Spin Around the Brain' (created by Oxford Sparks).
Over the weekend Experimental Psychology opened the doors to the Cognitive Neuropsychology Centre (CNC) and the Centre for Developmental Science. CNC attracted 380 visitors over two days who enjoyed demonstrations of eye tracking, TDCS and a range of neuropsychological tests. The Centre for Developmental Science attracted 85 adults and 27 children who learnt about the centres work on language and cognitive development
A big thank you to everyone who helped make these events such a success
