Clinical Lecturer in Psychiatry, Anya Topiwala, at the University of Oxford wins this prestigious award.

Anya Topiwala, Clinical Lecturer in Psychiatry, has won one of the two annual Gosling Fellowships awarded by the Royal College of Psychiatrists for research in neuropsychiatry. She will use the fellowship to carry out additional analyses using the Whitehall II cohort to see if the brain measures she previously identified as associated with alcohol intake are intermediate phenotypes for future alcohol-related cognitive impairment.

The Gosling Fellowship is awarded annually – the sum of £5000 – to two psychiatry trainees for the purpose of enabling them to complete a research project in the area of Neuropsychiatry as part of their psychiatry training programme.
