My main research project focuses on the aetiological classification of transient ischaemic attack and ischaemic stroke. I'm particularly interested in the risk factor profiles, imaging characteristics, plasma biomarkers and outcomes of patients with strokes of undetermined aetiology - cryptogenic stroke.
The other projects I'm working on include studying the association between blood pressure and cerebral small vessel disease, temporal trends of stroke incidence, stroke at younger ages, and the risks and benefits of aspirin.
