The Si30(Li7, He3)P34 T=1 four-nucleon transfer reaction has been observed and its cross section measured. The mass excess of P34 is -24555(40) keV. P34 states have been observed at Ex=0 and 441(20) keV. In addition, there is evidence of a state which would correspond to an excitation energy of 667(40) keV. NUCLEAR REACTIONS Si30(Li7, He3), E=24 MeV; measured σ(θ), mass excess and levels of P34. © 1977 The American Physical Society.
