The objectives are as follows: This review aims to comprehensively assess evidence for the effects of bupropion in comparison with all other anti-depressive agents in the acute phase treatment of major depression. Objectives include the following. 1. To determine the efficacy of bupropion in alleviating the acute symptoms of depression in comparison with other anti-depressive agents. 2. To review acceptability of treatment with bupropion in comparison with other anti-depressive agents. 3. To investigate the side effects of bupropion in comparison with other anti-depressive agents.
