The T cell receptor/CD3 complex is crucial for antigen recognition and signal transduction by T lymphocytes. Here we discuss the general features of the chicken TCR/CD3 complex, including the principal TCR subtypes, the genomic organization of the TCR clusters, features of the CD3 complex as well as several costimulatory molecules.
