Over the last few months, pieces have started falling into place to enable Experimental Psychology researchers to settle into adequate research and teaching spaces. Work is progressing well on the modular building at the Radcliffe Observatory Quarter.
The Broadbent Computer Teaching Laboratories have been re-established in their new home in the Biochemistry Department and testing facilities for toddlers have been completed at Ewert House.
In addition, a substantial fraction of the Department has moved into the Tinsley Building, on Mansfield Road.
In her annual Oration on the 3rd October, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Louise Richardson, highlighted the closure of the Tinbergen building, praised the strength of our community and the response from colleagues, and declared the University’s resolve to demolish the building and replace it with a new home for Experimental Psychology and Zoology.
